Blogger Day WOW !!!!!

Well we have moved up to West Memphis Ar. We are at the Tom Sawyer RV Park on the Mississippi River. What a peace full place watching the Tugs go by with all sorts of cargo. Across the River is the Famous Memphis Tenn. We walked the famous Beale St. There are all sorts of people here too. Just a pile of Beer Joints (not drinking sure sux) We are having a Ball on this trip as we travel America.

Ft Hood Texas

The First Cav. was my unit when I was in Viet Nam. The Cav is now stationed at Ft Hood Texas near Killeen Tx. Fort Hood is the Largest base in the free world, we didn't walk the whole base !! We toured the Cav museum inside & outside, with displays of the Real McCoy of the Fighting Equipment. I saw one helicopter, the same model I crashed in Thanksgiving day, I guess it was Thanksgiving as I'm still here !! I had a great trip down Memory Lane, I try to think of the good times and not the bad ones !!!

Texas hill country...Beautiful!!!

We beefed up on our German,and went to some great towns. Boerne was special for us because of a Children's Home called Heartland. Our church helps supports this great place. The couple foster battered and abused children. They have fostered 300 children in their 24 years of starting this. Keep it up, we love you Ruth and Mike.

We stayed in a town called Kerville. The RV resort was very nice. Beautiful setting in the hills. Lush and green.scenic rides are a must in this area. On to Fridericksburg. The German heritage is quaint in this town. Lady Bird park is there and so much more. Flea market and great little shops for everyone. My favorite was a jewelry shop where I purchased a beautiful bracelet from a Navajo designer made from turquoise of course! There was one other made of Opal and Spinney Oyster that was beautiful. Wayne bought that one for me for my 60th birthday. Love Ya Wayne!!! I really didn't care to look at any other trinkets.

I full filled my mission for Fredericksburg. Can we go now!!

San Antonio's River Walk & The Alamo

We spent two weeks in the San Marcos Tx. One of our day trips was to San Antonio's River Walk & The Alamo. Everybody needs a little history even Me !! The Alamo was neat as it is in the center of the city. Walking thru the old building was neat and a little creepy too. There was a lot to read about America's history.

We then went to the River Walk a river running thru the city Cool. We took a trip on the tour boat thru the city. The shops are doing a great business too. A person can really have a time choosing a place to eat. There are more restaurants there than Chicago, Ok I'm off a little.

Just down the road from the down town area is a neat joint called LuLu's Dinner home of the worlds largest Cinnamon Roll or Cinnamon Pillow !! Yes we got one and it was good Real Good !!!!

How About Me !!!!

Well How About Me! That Dam Dog gets Everything all I get is Crap. I'm the Senior not the Dog.
Well I'm enjoying our new life style too. I sleep in the bed and go to the my recliner. I have learned how to Beg just like Yogi!!! My Mom & Dad feed us both too. We are really having a good time, I will say I don't miss Scarlet or Hurricane.
Well now you know the Cats side of the story & I love this Gypsy Life too.

Houston Space Center

Well here's another day trip to the Space Center. We saw a lot of the NASA center as far as the old stuff. They wouldn't let me into the active areas (I don't Know WHY).
We looked at the training areas to do this we had to walk up some seventy plus stairs. That Kicked my Butt big time too. We looked at a Saturn Rocket that baby was Big too. I can't figure how they move it around, the thing is a Monster.

We did lay on a bed of Nails Marti had No Problems , I was leaking a little !!!!
